A reporter asks is the winning hurting the trade possibilities. Bouchy says winning is good.
Same problem Bum and Smith are free agents. We have our thoughts but what are the Giants Bum and Smith thoughts on resigning ? That’s the key

Call me crazy, and I realize this is a stretch, but Dickerson reminds me of Mickey Mantle, with his size and his short-stroke swing, and particularly the way he runs.

Agreed. They're 2-2 against the Mets with two games remaining against them, but to me, the key series is the Cubs. I suspect Farhan may be looking at that series as the make-or-break. The Giants have beat up on bad to mediocre teams. The Giants are 5-8 against the Dodgers, but they haven't played the Cubs, who are leading their division. They have a home series against the Cubs on M, T and W of next week. I think that tells Farhan if the Giants can do something in the playoffs.
Slater's starting and batting second tonight:
1. Belt, 1B
2. Slater, RF
3. Sandoval, 3B
4. Vogt, C.
5. Crawford, SS
6. Yastrzemski, LF
7. Pillar, CF
8. Panik, 2B
9. Beede, RHP
And Giants win in 10th, 1-0 on a popup that dropped between two Mets fielders. 49-49 on the season. Giants now two games back of the Wild Card slot.
