I have no problem with it on a once every other year or every three years (like Wilner has proposed) basis. I woke up at 4 AM to go to College Game Day, I would have loved a 9AM kickoff that day! Of course, I also have no problem with most of our other kickoff times.
If you hate every kickoff that isn't between 2 and 5, then I'm afraid you're never going to be happy. Stanford wants to be on TV, the conference needs all its games on TV, and if 60 some odd college football games all happen in the same time slot, guess which mediocre conference and small fan base team is never gonna be on TV...
