Last night Belt bunted for a hit.  I can’t recall his last bunt single.   Today I’m reading Baseball America and 3rd best NL bunted is Belt.   Really ?

He picks and chooses his spots.  He bunts against the shift when the 3B or SS is on the "pull" side of 2B, and there's only one fielder on the weak side, halfway between the bags.  Belt push bunts along the 3B line, particularly against right hand pitchers whose follow-through ensures that their momentum is away from the ball.
