The 150 College players that ESPN surveyed collectively picked Stanford.
Herbstreit, always the best prepared College Football guy on ESPN, has now picked Stanford too.
We all know JH and his EUTM. Â Got to believe the team has the Pac-10 title and/or the Rose Bowl as team goals.
It is not out of the realm for Stanford to finish second to USC and/or for USC to do just enough damage to clear the path for Stanford.
If this were a board for any other BCS team picked to finish in the upper half of the conference by the media, then the board would be filled with commentary about bowl game travel packages and the best Rose Bowl match-ups for the team.
As it stands, I believe they could get it done. Â I will certainly not plan on creating Jan 1 conflicts, but I am not going to be crushed if it doesn\'t happen.
I am just thrilled that coming into year 4 of the JH era that someone like Herbstreit could pick Stanford without the entire studio bursting into laughter.
