I think it would make some sense to reduce the frequency of the ND matchup from yearly to twice every four years. In the off-years ND would actually be well served by playing against UCLA and Berkeley to preserve their annual CA game.
As for Stanford, I think it would free up some spots for OOC games against other P5 opponents without having to play 11 P5 games every year.
