Have to wonder if the OR on Costello is a jedi mind trick for U$C's weak-minded coaching staff and roster :P

Could be, but the trick could hopefully be that KJ is fine, will play, and they know it. While the play was for sure dirty and was a blow to the head, I was actually more worried about damage to his face and throat, of which there seemed to be none. I am sure they are being careful, but it may be he doesn't show any ill effects. Lets hope so!
