They SHOULD be doubting: Doubting their coach and his staff and a non-existent S&C program after years of expertise (Turley), a complacent recruiting program, and an outdated approach to offense. Shaw cannot attract the athletes he needs and can no longer do much with what he gets. He cites the fundamental importance of line play, yet whiffs on everything necessary to maintain one. Yes, we are witnessing regression to the mean. It's back to mediocre (at best) Stanford football, which has always been a fragile enterprise save for a brief shining string of recentr years. But at the moment, we're flirting with haplessness. Next stop, Rice territory. Never thought it would happen so quickly.
