Mrs Stanford's arbitrary cap on (500) female admissions had long-lasting impact on the University, far longer than the 1930's when it was repealed. All the way through at least the 1960's there was a strict ratio in place for female admits.
I know it's not nice to bite the hand that has fed you, but.....wow, what a terrible ruling on her part.
