I was fortunate to get to watch Real Madrid’s European cup match against Brugge tonight.  Aside from the fact that the 2-2 final score didn’t do it justice, I have to say that the atmosphere, on a random fall Tuesday against a second rate European club was unbelievable, and several fold louder than anything I’ve experienced watching football (of either variety) stateside, including sitting in the Clemson section in the national championship game last year.
