It’s unfortunate that Affirmative Action and its various offshoots are essentially a zero-sum game. One group or another is always under-represented, depending on the metric.
Without trying to be partisan, it reminds me of the worst effects of “no child left behind,” which in allocating resources to helping lowest-performing students, stripped many programs focused on gifted and high-performers.
