In decades of watching Stanford football I have almost always forced myself to watch complete games, even when we were losing badly.  I couldn't bring myself to finish watching the game last night.  It was too painful to see West turned into a human punching bag.

Yes, last night was the first time in 33 years of home games where I voluntarily left before the end of the game.  I even sat through those horrendous Wlat years.

I teach my kid that you stay to the end cheering for your team.  In order to enjoy the good times you have to suffer through the bad.

If it were a Saturday we probably would have stayed.  Last night, midway through the 3rd quarter...well, he had school the next day and it was a long drive home.
