We're in rural, unincorporated NE Novato - in 2017, smaller fires just preceding the big flare ups in Santa Rosa and Napa started just a mile from our place. Fortunately, in our area, the winds were from the NW and not from due N. We also had a brush fire a half mile upwind from our neighborhood about 6 weeks ago. Last night, PG&E just announced they're cutting power in our area tomorrow. Trust me, we are sitting on pins and needles on this latest forecast, to say the least. If this is the new normal, I liked the old normal waaaaay better...
