And from the University of Alabama came Starr, Namath, Stabler, and Richard Todd, four QB's who were also legitimate starting NFL QB's.
Have I missed any names from Stanford or Alabama ?
Has any other school produced four or more bona fide starting NFL QB's?
Don't know or care about Alabama.
Elway had 231 starts, Brodie had 158 starts, Plunkett had 144 starts, Luck had 86 starts.
Other Stanford QBs, with at least ten NFL starts
Frankie Albert had 68 starts in a 7 year NFL career. He was legit.
Trent Edwards started 33 of his 38 games
Steve Dils started 27 of 106 games.
Boryla started 19 of his 23 games.Schonert started 12 of 72.
Kerkorian started ten of his 23 games.
Stenstron started 10 of his 17 games.
Fairly certain Chad Hutchinson had 10 starts (9 for Dallas and 1 for Chicago).
Hutchinson actually had 14 starts, 5 for Chicago, per pro football reference. I didn't count undrafted QBs, so I missed Hutch. I will update.
