But maybe consider the coaching is hard, and that if you were in the spotlight you'd occasionally make "inexcusable" decisions.

It's not that hard to make the right decision in that situation (snark or no snark). Really.
Well, of course, all decisions that turn out badly are INEXCUSABLE. Say, for example, you need 3 points to win, oh, I don’t know, how about the Fiesta Bowl. You have an eminently makeable field goal, but you would like to be a little closer, so...
... you throw a short pass, and it gets picked off. INEXCUSABLE
... you hand the ball off, and there’s a fumble. INEXCUSABLE
... the QB gets sacked for an 8 yard loss, taking you out of field goal range. INEXCUSABLE
... there’s a holding penalty on a play action. INEXCUSABLE
... you decide not to risk those things, but your kicker misses the field goal. INEXCUSABLE
Also, not sure about the lumping of “you-know-who” with Shanahan on this one. Scarlett up the middle 3 times is almost a guarantee... as would be the cry of INEXCUSABLE that he turtled rather than try to win...
