Golf Week class of 2020 rankings:
2 Karl Vilips
6 Jake Beber-Frankel
9 Michael Thorbjornsen
I wonder if the championship did for recruits
what it did for me:
make me wonder if Ray has some magic.
Going into the season,
I gave them little chance of cracking the top ten.
No Stanford team in any sport ever startled me as much.
Perspective:
Wu averaged 72.7 as a freshman and 70.6 his final two years;
Salinda averaged 73.1 as a freshman and 70.8 last season;'
Shimp averaged 77.7 as a freshman, 71.7 last season;
Snyder dropped from 73.6 as a freshman, 71.9 last season.
That is crazy.
