Williams scored 20 of her 22 after the half. Pretty amazing turnaround for her. Her driving layup (that went in) forced overtime. My impression of her second half play was very positive.
Apparently, the coaches instructed the team to drive more on the basket in the second half. The instructions for the first half were to drive and dish. Any insight into why this was the halftime adjustment and how well you thought it worked?
Carrington did not seem happy even when she was on the floor last night. Something was not right. Hopefully this was a one game aberration. She had the most amazing fourth quarter against Gonzaga a year ago--almost pulled it out for us.
