Such an odd video--almost the whole game, but a few critical pieces missing.(11-20-2019, 12:53 PM)biketoc Wrote: I started going through my photos from the Gonzaga game. I didn't take many, but I thought this one was the most interesting. This was the blocking call on Dijonai right at the beginning of the game. I don't remember who made the call. Thanks! It was helpful to see the Carrington "foul" close up. From my seat in the section above our player's bench, it wasn’t clearly visible. DiJonai's stance is picture perfect, but I would need to see the video of the play to verify that her heel was not on the line before determining that it was a bad call.

While I understand everyone's feelings about Missy, Kyle is no picnic either and the other ref. Oh my was she awful. She barely blew her whistle, but when she did she was mostly wrong in her call. One thing I noticed about Missy this game is that she appears to try to make up for other refs not seeing a foul. She pretty consistently makes calls that she doesn't have a good view of. My thought is she thinks the other refs are bad and don't see or call a foul so she needs to call it. This leads to a number of bad calls on her part. I had a boys high school coach sitting next to me and he couldn't believe how bad the officiating was.
In the photograph, it looks to me as if Carrington's right heel is on or over the restricted area line. What is the rule? If any part of the defender is in the restricted area does that mean it cannot be a charge?
