Miss State came back from 15 point deficit, but we ended up winning 67-62. We earned a crystal plaque for winning the Invitational Tournament; Haley Jones was selected to the All Tournament team; and Nadia Fingall earned the MVP Award for the Tourney.
As for our position in the national rankings, three wins at the Tournament (two against top 25 ranked teams, should keep us in good standing). And defeats this weekend for both #1 Oregon and #2 Baylor should move us up from our #3 national ranking. 
It’s been a beautiful few days in Victoria, even with the temperatures dipping close to freezing. The downside was seeing Kiana get tackled, pinned to the floor, and having to be helped off the floor, not to return. (Last year in Honolulu we stood in horror waiting for Anna to regain consciousness after taking a shove into some court-side chairs.)
The upside was seeing the team close around Nadia (who also get banged around in this tournament) after the game after she had won the MVP Award. When the huddle broke up I was touched to see that some of the players, including Nadia were wiping away tears Of happiness.
Job well done to our excellent team!!!
