This is Oregon's fault.   They should have defeated ASU to set up a winner to CFP scenario for the Pac-12 CG.   I feared Oregon would travel better and play better in a December rainfest type Pac-12 CG.   

Now, Utah has to rally up to get the Pac-12 a second NY6 invite.

Oregon’s bigger problem was scheduling Auburn. If you want to make it to the CFP, your best bet is scheduling the easiest OOC schedule possible - look at Baylor. This is something Stanford has never understood, not that it matters these days anyways.
