To the extent this is to be believed, the winner of Baylor/Oklahoma is likely to get in, even if Georgia beats LSU. Hard to believe that a 12-1 LSU team would not get in, but that is the advantage of winning your conference.

Current reasoning is that Ohio State, Clemson and LSU (because they are undefeated) are locks for the CFP, regardless of what happens in their respective conference championship games. Ohio State can lose to Wisconsin and still make it; same for Clemson vs. Virginia. Same logic applies to LSU. Now that Oregon has torpedoed any Pac-12 hope of making the CFP, the only open question is whether Georgia makes it by upsetting LSU or whether one of Oklahoma or Baylor sneaks in at #4. I would honestly prefer to see only one SEC team in the CFP, so I am pulling for LSU today. As for a potential Big 12 representative, I really do not care, but think Oklahoma has the better resume.
In yesterday's Utah-Oregon tilt, it was the Duck defense and O-line that won the game. In many respects, Cristobal has built an Oregon team that looks a lot like Stanford teams back in the best years of this decade. Stingy defense, bruising O-line, a good backfield (Verdell, Habibi-Likio), a QB playing as a game manager. Yes, even with a prodigious passer like Justin Herbert, the Duck offense prevailed mainly on the ground, while Herbert simply used the passing game to keep the Ute defense off balance. Will we see that kind of team at Stanford again?
