247 reports 12 Stanford players have entered in December.

But I did learn Stanford has fierce competition for portal entries this month: UConn now has had 18 enter in December!

UConn Football is going through a lot of turmoil with Big East acceptance and being in purgatory without a conference, so it makes some sense. Stanford still seems fishy, and being in a similar reality to UConn is never good.

Pardon the nitpicking, but are we really going to count 2 walk-ons? I know 247 does, but I wouldn't.

IMO, what we should really focus on is the number of expected starters/significant contributors who enter the portal, not the total number.  Swann, Williams, Hattis, Hamilton (tier 1), and Harrington, Powell, and Eboh (tier 2).  That's the number that should concern people.

If we have three more players entering the portal, it would be a bad sign if they were Fox, Toner, and Schaffer; it would not be a bad sign if they were Butler, Parson, and Speights.
