A couple of OSU announcers talking about the game tonight.

They note that Tara takes away the opposing players with the best numbers and leaves the "weak links" open to shoot. So Ohio State has to get production from lesser know players to do well. Ohio State doesn't feel too bad about this "scouting report defense" since their team is so young and inconsistent that they don't really know who the strengths and weaknesses are yet. Or so they say. I still think 14 and 24 are going to get a lot of attention from our defense.
By the way, if we need another reason to want to beat Ohio State, I came across this:

There apparently has been something inappropriate with their recruiting.
To the sleaze factor we can add the fact that two years ago, when they were at their best, they beat us twice, and last year, when they were in a rebuilding year, they took the excuse of the fires not to come out. But at the time they were scheduled to play us Cal played in Maples instead.
And finally you can put their head coach McGuff in the crosshairs if you wish. We have played him many times--remember Jeanette taking the ball the length of the court and laying it in to beat Xavier in 2010? McGuff left Xavier to go to Washington and then dumped his new home to go to Ohio State after just two years there. He took the Ohio State job 3 weeks after signing a long term extension at Washington. His extension was through 2019-20--maybe we should be glad he was so sleazy, or we would have been playing against him in the Pac 12 all those years. The last laugh was on him, though, since he missed all four years of Kelsey Plum!
