Fingall and Belibi do not have the moves, and we can't tell about Prechtel because Tara pulls her too quick. Jones easily leads the team in to's but remains in game. And yes, Prechtel may make some fouls on defense but she can rebound and block.Earlier in the year I saw Prechtel with a drop step going over her right shoulder (or was it her left?) so she has the most basic back-to-the-basket move at least.
If I recall Jump entered game after the 3 point barrage from the UCD player.
Kianna isn't just missing jump shots, she is also missing layups she used to make
At the chalk talk, Tempie noted that the biggest hurdle for the freshmen to overcome--in addition to playing at the speed and physicality of the college level--was learning how to follow a scout. The freshmen who can absorb the scouting report and execute it will get more time than those who don't. This was in response to a question about how the freshmen did not play much at Texas.
This is also something that is hard for us as fans to judge. If a player is told to not let her mark ever do a drop step to the right but to give up the drop step to the left if necessary, and she lets her mark go to the right--then Tara is probably going to pull her. How are Belibi and Prechtel doing at executing these scouting reports? I'm not sure, but Prechtel getting only 2 minutes isn't going to enlighten us.
