Does anyone remember University Creamery? NOT Peninsula Creamery near where Blockbuster was. University Creamery was on University Ave. and had these bittersweet chocolate milkshakes of which I have, despite many attempts, not found the equal. I believe it closed in 1990 or ‘91.

I remember it as a bit of a greasy spoon. Maybe I judged it too quickly.

I heard the place was owned by the proprietor of the nearby Chinese restaurant officially named "Hsi-Nan, the Little" but called "Louie's". I don't recall Louie's full name, if I ever knew it. That restaurant was a big favorite, with some dishes I've never seen elsewhere.
