I'm with SamuelMcF on this. Stanford is still on the cusp of an NCAA tournament bid. Just today, ESPN's bracketology projected us as a #8 seed versus #9 Florida, with the winner presumably taking on #1 Baylor (who lost to UW early this season).
As this board's denizens know, Stanford football was up 21-3 at the end of the first quarter versus Oregon in 2010, only to be outscored 49-10 (!) the rest of the way. Stanford finished the season 12-1 with a resounding Orange Bowl victory and a #4 ranking in both AP and coaches polls. I'm sure that Jim Harbaugh's leadership had a lot to do with the way the team bounced back after the Autzen debacle. And I think that Jerod Haase can do the same with this year's men's basketball team.
Building on what Phogge wrote: it's time for the players and coaches to learn the lessons from the Galen implosion and turn the corner on what can still be a special season. I can't wait to see the team beat Cal by double digits this Sunday.

If there's one thing people have learned in Berkeley, it's that you can't put "Cal football" and "Rose Bowl" in the same sentence. The words just don't fit. You'd be better off linking "covered wagons" with "Mars travel." (Bruce Jenkins, Cal '70, SF Chronicle, Nov. 11, 2017)
