BUY cheap beer?

Not necessarily .... In the 70s/early 80s it wasn’t unusual to see small ice chests of beer and the occasional keg at Stanford football games. 

The never confirmed rumor was frats and the band could get a keg into the game if they arrived early and bought it a seat. 

early 80s, 2 guys and 1 keg was the limitation (no extra ticket needed for the keg).  our house would have a couple in the stadium for well attended games.  otherwise Playmate Coolers full of beer.
