I agree with you, and the critique of the players was completely honest and justified.  But some players have more sensitive egos than others, and nothing is really to be gained by delivering a critique in public rather than in private.

I have not seen Tara make that kind of public criticism about any of her players since that year--so I think she herself decided it wasn't worth it.
