The "next year will be better" thing has been done before with Haase.
The players on this roster are all his guys. This is basketball, it is not that tough to learn any system. The idea that the guys on the bench can't contribute more against the talent level of Oregon State while in Maples says a lot.
Hopefully with some early wins this season recruiting will continue to improve. There always seems to be a hope with Haase that it will get better someday soon.
I hope they can recapture that swag, but the schedule over the next month appears more challenging. I do fear this team will not get to the NCAAs, again. They are close, but the Pac-12 is tight this year. I am just not sure a team without bench contributions and visibly tired starters can win enough to get into the NCAAs.
