Well, that's too bad. Last year's Spring "game" was the least interesting/engaging such event I can ever recall attending [going back several decades]. The only thing that kept my contingent there for a while was the fact that we were sitting fairly close to the women's b'ball team, which included both Hull twins, and we, as discreetly as possible, spent considerable time trying to see if we could figure out which was which.
On reflection -- and, unfortunately -- that afternoon turned out to be a fairly accurate harbinger of the football season to come... [and I still can't tell the Hulls apart sans numbered jerseys and the headband]
Yeah, I get that. Parents of a close friend are massive fans and come to every game, including the Spring game. They were kind of in disbelief. That's what happens when you have 5 healthy offensive linemen. I don't know how many more than 5 we'll have this time around, but at the very least it WILL be more than 5, meaning we can actually shuffle OL around a little bit and run more plays. HOORAY!
Per Shaw, this offseason/spring we'll actually be able to have all practices be full-speed and full-go as there are enough bodies at every position to compete against each other. Last year that wasn't the case, and they had to slow some periods down. It was really a disaster. Many of the aforementioned guys recovering from injury/surgery will be able to go through all the individual drills and such at full go this time around, but won't be participating in full-contact periods for obvious reasons.
