Scott Rueck is upset about overly physical play in the Pac-12 too. Some blunt words at the press conference today.

I agree with him, and think he said it well.  It hurts both the team that plays against opponents who use that style and also the teams that use that excessively physical style, because to compete with physical teams, opponents have to amp up their own physical play.  In the end both teams end up more beat up, more tired, and less able to play interesting, fun ball.
