I assume we will get Oregon State for the 3rd time, which has got to be the most difficult first game in the Pac 12 tournament we have ever had. The two sides know each other well, obviously. While conventional wisdom is that it is hard to beat another good team 3 times in a season, I think their loss of Kennedy Brown probably hurt them more than our loss of Haley Jones, and Belibi has improved enough to help us. Given that Jenna Brown is reportedly going to be ready for the Pac 12 tournament, I like our chances.
The announcers stated that Oregon State had locked up 6 and today's games would not alter that, but what is the tiebreaker between Oregon State and Arizona State, given that they each beat each other once and have the same league records? I get why UCLA has the tiebreaker over us for the 2 seed, but don't understand how ASU and OSU get sorted between the 5 and 6 seeds.
Since they have same league record and are even against each other, they go on to the next tiebreaker. Arizona State is #5 because they have the better winning percentage over the #1 team (Oregon). They were 1-1. Oregon State was 0-2 against Oregon.
