While I would rather they highlight Stanford players, for better or for worse, casual fans might barely know of anyone outside of their own team, and those are the people we hope get more interested in women's college basketball. And for as long as I've been alive, "human interest" stories about the athletes are one way to get people to connect to the sport. If it brings more fans to WBB, I'm all for it.
