At Spotify the people who wrote the algorithm for song suggestions did a good job.

I've been getting some really fun but random suggestions lately.  One day it spun off into Norweigan boogie woogie songs. 

But the one that caught my ear this week was the Scissor Sisters.  I don't know how I missed them when they emerged in 2003.  Think the love children of Elton John and the Bee Gees.  I've had "Take Your Mama" on replay all day:

Ok, I'll play. This was a song done by some Stanford students on a European study abroad program with Prof Mark Applebaum, who just happened to be friends with some pretty internationally renowned music producers. They gave the students music tracks and the students in groups of 3-4 had to write lyrics and make a video. Yes, my daughter was involved, so be nice. :)
