Up here in Alberta, all schools in the province have just been shut down.  My son's private school is working on a remote platform starting Monday, but no plans announced as to when that will start to be available yet. 

I hope no one minds, but since the readership here comes from various corners of the country, I thought it would be a good place to take a quick survey. For those of you with school-aged children, I have two questions:
1. Is their school district currently closed?
2. Are their teachers taking any steps to continue teaching them remotely? (And how do you feel about that?)

I ask because I'm a middle school English teacher, and I'm just curious about what's going on in other places. Our district is closed through April 20th, and I'm doing my best to keep things going with various on-line resources and video sharing platforms. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on this.
