I’m old enough to remember fights about “death panels” and “killing grandma”.  When (god forbid) this happens in the US it is going to be very traumatic.

The other chart you cited in the Germany thread said that the US had 3.4 hospital beds per 1000 and Italy had less than 2.  This article flips those numbers.  One fact is clear, there is much false info being passed around unknowingly.  I'm not blaming BC, because the sources look legit.  However, they both cannot be correct.

In this chaos,  it is difficult to fact check every claim.  It seems that writers are cherry picking stats to fit their narratives.  We have to really be careful to not believe everything we read on the internet.  We need to choose the information sources we trust and follow their advice.

Actually, they are both correct.  This article states the number of hospital beds per 1000 population.  The other article I shared showed the number of critical care beds (ICU beds).  The US has worked hard to shorten hospital stays and send people home early, which is why the number of hospital beds has gone down.  However, critical care beds are another matter, and my guess is that they have been stable or rising.
