FWIW, I have found that if I place my order before 7 a.m. local time, both Target (pickup) and Whole Foods (delivery) tend to have a better selection of available items and, in the case of Whole Foods, a surprising number of early same-day delivery slots. But literally the difference between 6:30 a.m. and 6:50 a.m. is whether you can get a same-day delivery or a result that no delivery slots are available for the next 48 hours.
