Sorry, I mistook you for 2006alum, and noted that there was a post showing that non-suicide deaths go down (I also noted that the economist estimated a number but there was no citation for where that came from). I'm not sure how to reconcile the numbers. Intuitively it makes sense that deaths would rise, if for no other reason that people would lose access to healthcare or would not take care of themselves as well, but I acknowledge that the data you cited raises questions about my assumption.
