So why don't they just correct the prior days' totals to include the newly-reported results from those days? The legend of the graph says that the date of cases is the date of COVID-19 confirmation. Now that is no longer true, and it detracts from the utility of the graph.
Would be nice if they could report by the day the swab was taken.
