Hospitals, if they can get supply, have been using these medications for some patients. Anecdotally, it is not making a big clinical change. Some patients may benefit, some clearly don't, and we just don't have the studies to know if it's better than nothing, and exactly which patients most likely to benefit. All studies too small with plenty of methodology problems. This is from conversations from docs treating these patients. Looking likely I will be starting ICU rotations next week. Not an ICU doctor, but it's getting to be all hands.
