One difference between religious faith and the prevailing attitude towards government is that at least God is omniscient and all powerful. Government is neither. God could in theory solve any problem. It seems people expect the Federal government to supply ventilators they don't have and materials they can't buy. They are also expected to deploy personnel that don't exist. When these things don't happen, people get mad. When God doesn't solve our problems, very few get mad at him.
