Re point guard, Azzi and Wiggins were more 2 guards than 1. Pollen played point, but was more a 2. And William's would probably be a better  as a 2 if there were a good 1 to make it possible for her.  Tha tr was what she did he rdd freshman year. Henning is still, for my money, the best true point that Sranford has ever had, and right behind her is Widenan.

I agree, but then you have to ask, was Henning a better point guard than Wiggins was an all-around guard?  You are forced into these apples and oranges comparisons.  Another way to put it, is if you were drafting a team would you draft Azzi and Wiggins, or Azzi and Henning?

The other combo here, Henning and Wiggins is also worth considering. It's a tough choice, but for those of us who saw Azzi and Henning play together, is hard to forget how well they worked as a team. And Azzi was definitely better because she played with Henning. So then the question is, was Azzi or Wiggins the better 2 guard? I might actually go for Wiggins -- which then brings me to a choice of Wiggins and Henning. But really, I can't choose!

there are many perspectives. i'm thinking the best players for the stanford system. therefore, i want a point guard who is not just a distributor but who can also shoot the 3. (these days, if you're a pure point guard at stanford, you maybe transfer for your 5th year.) jennifer azzi did fine as a distributor and has the highest 3-point shooting % in stanford history at 45%. jamila and sonja are not in the top 10. i can't find their actual 3-point %, but it has to be south of .390 or they'd be on the list.

similarly, tara generally likes a pure post (if we have one) and a power forward. chiney is not a 5; jayne is. remember jayne scoring 45 in the ncaa's? also, when you look at the scoring totals, consider that jayne played almost her entire senior year with a stress fracture in her foot.
