Some other comparisons.

400,000 Americans died fighting in World War II.  Covid-19 has killed 14,000 in a little over a month (1940 in the last day alone).  While I don't think we will get to a similar number, I wouldn't be surprised if we get to 100,000+.

About 18 million Americans fought in World War II.  So far, the US has had 435,000 people infected with Covid-19.  We could easily eclipse the 18 million infected mark.
