How many Americans don't actually have a primary care doctor? Meaning their best option is to wade into an ER? (I don't know the answer)
Old data, but this study measuring the percentage of Americans with PCPs indicates that:
- 77% of all adults had primary care physicians in 2002, falling to 75% in 2015.
- 71% of 30 year olds had PCPs in 2002, falling to 64% in 2015
