In the abstract they point out it doesn't reach significance. To see a difference with this medication in preventing mild cases from progressing to severe ones, you will need a large sample.
We'll get that data in due time. The longer we can distance and prevent exponential growth, the more data we will have on what treatments are efficacious. Anecdotally and from the literature, this med doesn't seem like a game changer.
