In the absence of any non-circumstantial evidence that this started in a Chinese lab, how about this:
SARS started in a wildlife market
MERS most likely came from camels
AIDS most likely came from chimpanzees.
(The list of major human diseases that started in wildlife is too long to recount fully here.)
And, most of the early covid-19 cases were linked to a wet market.
If you're okay with circumstantial evidence, the evidence for a (captive) wildlife origin for covid-19 is far stronger than the Chinese lab case.
