It sucks to lose Hector as a football player and I get the "everyone makes mistakes and deserves a second chance" takes.

But the fact is many boys could have done what Hector apparently did and they didn't do it. Why should he get given an opportunity those who didn't don't have? it is nice to see there are some institutions that won't compromise their values.

Fully expect Hector to end up at USC, where they have no values to compromise.

He'll end up somewhere, and I'm not so sure that is a terrible thing.
I know virtually nothing about this incident, but can't help wondering if it is a serious enough offense that his whole college football career should be thrown to the dogs.

Stanford clearly had to do what they did (rescind admission), but it does make me wonder if the Brock Turner incident never happened, would there have been some kind of 2nd chance opportunity given Ayden (i.e. delay enrollment for a year or enroll and sit out football for the year)?
