the seattle times requested the police records. 4 of the young men, including hector are opposing disclosure. 

The alleged victim, in a sworn statement, said she supported disclosure of the records to the The Times because she wanted “accountability for the decision of the prosecutor’s office” to not file charges.

stanford joined the request for the records, implying that stanford did not have the info from hector. then stanford withdrew the admissions offer and withdrew the request for records.

hector would appear to be more involved than he said. his press release statement that stanford's withdrawal had nothing to do with possible sexual misconduct seems false.

The Seattle tv station story is very interesting. Connecting the dots, it would seem that Hector is the one in the cab of truck that asked if the girl was having fun and is the one that prosecutors offered immunity to.  These types of cases are very complex with lots of grey areas so it doesn't surprise me that prosecutors didn't think they had a strong enough case to prosecute, but these boys aren't getting off without punishment. This stain now public will live with them for a very long time.  Hard life lesson to be learned by Hector. Hopefully, others will learn from this incident as well.  The macho sexist culture that pervades football teams has been changing and will continue to change with more education and as more of these types of stories are brought to light and the participants face consequences like Hector has.
