BARDA is the agency; Bright is the agency director who was moved out.

I've had interactions with BARDA, which on the one hand makes me capable of evaluating it, but also probably biases me.  That being said, I've seen no indications that BARDA's performance has been subpar.  In fact, I'd say that the speed with which Moderna was able to open its clinical trial of the vaccine is a testament to how BARDA can enable and accelerate private research.  That oral diagnostic touted in another thread? BARDA is funding and lending expertise (https://www.biospace.com/article/release...self-test/).

In an HHS where there have been high profile flubs by both the CDC and FDA, BARDA actually has stood out as an agency that has stepped up to the challenge.

My point is that we have reached a point where a bureaucrat or civil servant can resign or be fired, point to some public dispute with Trump, and instantly be perceived as being in the right and fired on the basis of the dispute. That's not necessarily accurate. 

In any case, Trump's reelection depends on the management of the C-19 crisis. There is very little margin for personalities here (as there is in more politicized positions, e.g., Comey.)  I have my own rather negative view of Donald Trump. But it does not include stupidity. So I would reserve judgment here. There may be competence issues that are not immediately apparent.

You're welcome to post, as long as it fits our narrative. I was already told by one admin that my perspectives weren't welcome, guess now there are two admins that don't appreciate diversity of thought. . . .Great example for perspective Stanford students.

Since I can see the deleted posts, I can assure you that the censored posts were bipartisan.  I'm not stupac, but I think those very clearly were posts about the Supreme Court nomination fight and had no relation to COVID-19.  And yes, posts supporting the accuser were also deleted.

I posted that the same attorneys representing Dr Rick Bright (the former director of BARDA) were also the same attorneys representing Blassey Ford. Help me understand how that's not relevant to this thread? It's incredibly relevant.

I absolutely do not see any relevance. Attorneys don't usually take on clients based on their political leanings.

I am trying to avoid direct political posts, and apologies for weakening on the Kavanaugh mess. However, there are attorneys and attorneys. Some firms are highly politicized and look for causes.
