Remember, it's about a week from infection to symptoms and then maybe another week until you're sick enough to end up in the hospital.  Plus, exponential growth is slow initially (in absolute numbers).  So I wouldn't expect the dial to move a lot until maybe June.

Sure, some people take two weeks to get hospitalized, but others will just take a few days. If they are doing adequate testing they will see the start of the spike after two weeks. May be slower than the initial peak with some degree of distancing and masks.
