What I heard, but obviously can't verify, is that Luck heard rumblings from JH that maybe they should burn his shirt. Supposedly Luck indicated at that point he didn't think he was ready. What he actually said (if any of this is true) I don't know. I do know the plan was for Luck to sit out that year and he was not planning to play. Burning the shirt mid-season on a team not going anyplace did seem to be a bad idea.
